Crates

At Fly My Pet, your pet’s comfort, safety, and well-being are always our top priorities throughout their travel journey. That starts with our use of high-quality, airline-approved travel crates that fully comply with IATA (International Air Transport Association) standards.

Each crate is carefully selected based on your pet’s size, breed, and travel duration, ensuring they have enough space to sit, stand, lie down, and turn around with ease. This helps reduce stress and keeps them relaxed during their flight.

Our crates are built from strong, pet-safe materials that can handle long journeys, turbulence, and varying temperatures. They feature secure locking systems to prevent accidental openings and ventilation on all sides for proper airflow. Every crate comes equipped with absorbent bedding to manage waste and a non-spill water bowl to keep your pet hydrated throughout the trip.

Cleanliness is just as important as comfort. All our crates are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before every journey. For pets with special medical or behavioral needs, we also provide custom crate solutions that meet airline and destination country requirements.

To make travel even smoother, we ensure each crate is clearly labeled with your pet’s details, feeding and care instructions, and emergency contact information — giving airline staff the guidance they need to handle your pet with extra care.

Whether your furry friend is flying across cities or continents, Fly My Pet provides the perfect balance of safety, comfort, and peace of mind — because every pet deserves a stress-free, happy journey.

Measuring Your Pet

Measuring your pet correctly is essential to ensure the travel crate provides enough space for comfort and safety during their journey, and if your pet finds it difficult to stay still, having someone assist you can make the process easier; placing your pet in a natural standing position next to a wall and marking points for length from nose to tail base, height from ground to top of head or ears, and width from shoulder to shoulder can help get accurate results, and using these marks on the wall makes measuring simpler and more precise; always make sure your pet is standing naturally while measuring, as sitting or lying down can lead to incorrect sizing, and accurate measurements help us recommend the right crate size so your pet can sit, stand, and turn around comfortably, which is not only important for their comfort but also ensures the crate meets airline requirements and avoids delays or rejections at the airport.

How to Measure your dog for a travel crate

Measuring your dog for the right kennel size is one of the first important decisions you can make when relocating your dog. If you don’t choose correctly, the airlines can (and will) refuse to send them.

So, how do I know what is the right size kennels for my pet?” A great start is to use the image at the left with the following legend.

A = Length of animal from nose to root of tail.
B = Height from ground to elbow joint.
C = Width across shoulders.
D = Height of animal in a natural standing position from the top of the head. It is also helpful to get the measurement to the ear tip.

We recommend that you give it an inch to an a inch and a half bigger so that it gives the pets some room to move in and also then there shouldn’t be any problems at the airport. The official rules require 3 inches from the top of your dog’s head to the top of the kennel. The airlines have become increasingly insistent on this rule so try to find a kennel with sufficient head space.
